AE Grant Showcase 2022: Fostering Empathy for Ambassador Animals through Choice and Control – Creating Empathy for Animals at Zoo Boise

Lake Superior Zoo present on their project, “Fostering Empathy for Ambassador Animals through Choice and Control,” which increased the capacity of the Lake Superior Zoo to incorporate animal choice and control presentation techniques into education programs that foster empathy and improve perceptions of animal welfare (1:10-23:07). Zoo Boise present on their project, “Creating Empathy for Animals at Zoo Boise.” This project helped staff and visitors, particularly children, to better understand, care about, and develop empathy for animals at the zoo (23:48-46:58).
