This session highlights the role of engaging spaces, interpretive storytelling, and interactive experiences in fostering empathy for wildlife. Brooke Tucker from ZooMontana discusses Taking Empathy on the Road, a project that provides outdoor ambassador animal spaces and innovative visitor engagement strategies. Sarah Wilcox from Lake Superior Zoo presented on Fostering Empathy through Playful Connections with Nature, exploring how playful, nature-based interactions cultivate emotional connections with wildlife.
