Woodland Park Zoo, Belize Zoo and Tropical Education Center, Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center

ACE for Wildlife® Network • November 2025

In this event, speakers will focus on programs and strategies that foster empathy for species that are involved in human-wildlife conflict, or empathetically informed strategies/programs that organizations use or host to foster coexistence with those species. Afterwards, everyone will have the opportunity to talk and learn from each other as we share experiences and ideas from our work.

Speakers include:

Noelie Chable from the Belize Zoo & Tropical Education Center who will be speaking about their Human Jaguar Conflict Program.

Emily Bernhardt from Woodland Park Zoo who will be speaking about common perceptions of carnivores in North America and their impacts on conservation.

Katie Remine from Woodland Park Zoo will be discussing WPZ’s Living Northwest conservation work that encourages Washington residents to discover, recover, and coexist with native wildlife.
